Monterey Downtown Days Inn

Clean and basic.

The hotel was very clean outside and inside The breakfast was good.

It was just okay. The lack of parking was a bit annoying, the beds were badly made, the towels were terrible but it was clean.

Stayed in Days Inn in other locations. This hotel in particular seemed clustered. Lacks basic aesthetics, and car parking in the late evening hour onwards is a nightmare. It is close to Fisherman's Wharf, and with moderately good restaurants in walking distance, is a plus point. For the price paid- there are better hotels if one looks around (even during the holiday season). Surprising, this hotel does not have a standby generator, and nobody at front-desk at 10PM! Nice accomodations and family friendly.

The room was OK; meaning clean and not needing an immediate update. Although, the motel has tours that frequent the location. When this occurs the noise starts about 6:45 am. The tour bus pulls to the back of the location which not only blocks the rear exit but also makes it very noisy for the rooms toward the back of the motel. Not only was the bus running for over an hour but the tour guide and the people entering the bus were extremely noisy (especially the tour guide). The tour bus operator could have easily parked the bus a block away or even across the street to minimize the noise.
